About the Event

Getting your bees past their first year is a huge hurtle, but you did it!  You've gotten them through inspections, mite treatments, winter feeding and more.  Now its time to get ready for their second season.  Unlike year one, the bees have their home comb all built out.  As the days get longer and warmer, your bees will explode with activity, foraging and SWARMING.  Come learn about why bees swarm, how to catch it before it happens, prevent it, and deal with it.  We will discuss splits for the backyard beekeeper, pests, diseases, and treatments, and more!
