Bee Installation
Purchase inspections as a one-time service for when you're out of town and need someone to watch over your colony, or as a seasonal package to ensure your hives are well maintained and ready for winter. Inspections include a full check of honey supers and brood boxes, queen status (via sightings, eggs, or larvae), and checks for stores and diseases. It does not include doing IPM measurements for varroa; which is part of our healthcare plan. Prices vary due to time of year and quantity of hives. Hive Inspection
The first part of responsible beekeeping is ensuring your bees are healthy, well fed and free of disease. Commonwealth Bee subscribes to the evidence-based science of integrated pest management and supplemental feeding when appropriate. Checkups include doing checks for small hive beetles and varroa as well as implementing treatment plans with a variety of products and solutions. If feeding is required, we can provide both dry and wet supplements to keep your bees ready for winter. Prices vary due to time of year and quantity of hives.
